The Crows of the Castle

There's a flock of crows scattering in the wind

Seems to be a daily tradition

Tradition or ritual

Ritual or habit

Habit or addiction

A timeless loop

It never seems to be productive

No leader, no direction

They often fight with one another

As they fly in their endless loops

They are loud

Squawking over eachother

Again making no progress

in their conversations

Which one is most important

Are all important

Are any important

It's almost winter and time to fly south

Yet they still fly in their spiraling loops

Who will decide it's time to move on?

What happens if they stay?

What happens if they leave some behind

Against the odds they make it south

And continue their squabble

Maybe there's a reason

For their spiritual hobble

What do I know

I'm just a man
