Is this my body

I see my hands and arms, but I don't feel them.

Have I gone numb

I feel disconnected

Yet my body starts to sizzle like a cracked egg on a heated pan

My palms sweat but I don't feel the moisture

On the outside, my body tingles like vibrations from old machinery

On the inside, my body feels like a rod of copper radiating a strike of power

I've been bitten and the poison is running fluid through my veins

My heart races and my breathing follows suit

My mind is scattered

My body tingles

My spirit is fragile

Yet I've been here before

So I remember the physiology of the human body

I remember the miracles of it

I remember the limits it's able to go

I remember the intricate workings of perfect engineering

I remember the system of checks and balances

So I tell myself to trust that this will soon end

Trust my body and mind to do their job

Trust that this is part of a process

So we keep on moving

Mind body spirit
